Provenance: before 1939 possessed by Zdzisław Dziewulski from Warsaw; on 23 Nov. 1962 bought from Andrzej Dziewulski from Warsaw. According to violin maker A. Karolkowski, the instrument had belonged to the father of violin maker F. K. Pruszak in Warsaw; Zdzisław Szulc attributed the instrument to Baltazar Dankwart I, Karol Stromenger attributed it to Marcin Groblicz senior

Description: the instrument has features of the Polish violin making school; two-piece spruce belly, one-piece back of bird-eye maple; Polish f-holes with sharp tongues; peg box ended with a lion head

Inscriptions: no maker’s label; maintainers' labels: one handwritten on the left side in the middle: Feliks Konstanty Pruszak / Warszawa 1926 rep. 128; another printed: Jan Karoń (nepos Laurentu) / (korekta) Varsaviae Anno 19(63); burned on the bass-bar with a handwritten date: Jan Karoń Warszawa (1963); inside marked: KIL-40; burned on the endpin: KIL

Measurements: body length 355 mm, upper bout 161.6 mm, middle bout 106.2 mm, lower bout 194,5 mm, total length without endpin 599 mm, with endpin 605 mm
