Description: old Italian instrument with Cremona school features, possibly built by Francesco Gobetti, famous Venetian maker, student of Stradivari; one-piece spruce belly, two-piece sycamore back; neck and head unoriginal; it has a fake Amati label; produces sound of great nobility characteristic for old Italian instruments, aligned for all strings; requires very subtle and mature playing; masterly instrument; maintenance work by Jan Karoń in 1963, Eugeniusz Gosiewski in 1968, Piotr Kubas in 1969; qualified to be used during the International H. Wieniawski Violin Competition
