Description: classic model similar to A. Stradivari’s instruments; two-piece spruce belly, one-piece sycamore back with rather straight, dense graining; varnish in orange shades, thinly applied; rosewood tuning pegs; for high level art performance

Inscriptions: printed label reading: Domingos F. Capela / ANTA-ESPINHO-PORTUGAL / ANO 19(71) / [in a double circle, a church silhouette and the monogram DFC]; below, the stamp CAPELA PORTUGAL.

Measurements: body length 356 mm, upper bout 168 mm, middle bout 111 mm, lower bout 206 mm

Materials: spruce, sycamore

Prizes: First Prize at the 1972 International H. Wieniawski Violin Making Competition in Poznań (also won Second Prize for another violin, KIL-81)
